I am looking for information on the following members of the CROMWELL family. SAMUEL CROMWELL (B. ABT. 1869- D. ABT. 1965) and his wife JULIA ELIZABETH (RIPPON) CROMWELL (B. ABT. 1877- D. ABT. 1957) These are my Great Grandparents, my grandfather ARTHUR WILLIAM (aka. SHORTY) CROMWELL was one of the last of 11 children. He was born in Oct. 20,1900 in Frederick Co. and died in May 31,1985 in Carroll Co. Information on my great grandparents cannot be obtained through relatives here in Carroll Co. Vincent STEVENS, b ca 1745; md Ruth LANE ca 1770. John LANE, who was a son of Samuel and Mary (CORBIN) LANE, md Rebecca LOVEALL. Perhaps Eliza is a dau of Aaron STEVENS, b 16 June 1792; who was a son of Jonathan, bp 22 Jan 1770; who was a son of Aaron, bp 21 Sep 1735; who was a son of Nicholas, bp 10 Nov 1697. Looking for info about Conrad LONG and wife Elizabeth FUNK Long. They lived near Balitmore, Westminister and Ellicot City. According to his pension file, they were married 21 July 1808 in Baltimore. He served in the 36th (Jessop's) Regt of Md Militia in 1814. In 1833 the family relocated to Delaware (later Morrow) Co Ohio where Conrad died in 1847.

Looking for parents and date of birth of Jacob GOUKER/GAUGER and other spellings, born in 1780's. He was husband of Eva Hutton. One source states he was born in Maryland; another states Lancaster Co Pa. Possibly born in Pennsylvania, near Goshenhoppen (Berks/Lancaster county area) moved to Maryland as a young boy. His family name is associated with St Joseph Catholic Church in Taneytown. He had a daughter Catharine, m. Levi MURREN, who lived for a time in Carroll, then Frederick Co. Catharine's Obituary stated she lived all her life near Littlestown, Adams Co, Pa, just north of the Mason Dixon line.

Looking for parents of Sarah DIEFFENTHAL/DAVYDALL or similar spellings. Born Apr 18 1783. She married Anthony Foller in Conewago Chapel, Adams County, Pa on Oct 5 1813. Her family name has been associated with St Joseph Catholic Church in Taneytown, Md. Believe her father was Philip or Samuel, both were sons of John Dieffenthal and Barbara Weise. Most likely Sarah had siblings or cousins named Samuel, Elizabeth,Peter and Simon, all of whom appear in the records of Conewago Chapel between 1802-1822. Does anyone know if Sarah and her siblings or cousins were born in Carroll, then Frederick Co?

Was of Lutheran faith in 1831, but not prior to this date (per obit). Family moved to Franklin Co. PA abt 1834. Had issue: H. J., b: abt 1835; Samuel b: abt 1837; Cornelius b: abt 1839; Ellen Anna b: abt 1841. Family moved to Fulton Co. IL in 1844. H. J. and Samuel were in Linn Co. Oregon in 1915.
